Main product: TheraSim CS (Clinical Simulator) -
clinical simulation technology to support the training of physicians, nurses, medical students
and pharmacists
in the diagnosis and treatment of chronic and infectious diseases. A number of disease-specific
modules (clinical knowledge bases are under development). The first to be implemented is for HIV (TheraSim CS-HIV).
TheraSim Knowledge bases for individual disease modules comprise clinical data, patient simulation data and best practice guidelines
(see figure 1).
The clinical knowledge contained is derived from the following sources:
- DHHS (US Department of Health and Human Services) Treatment Guidelines
- Drug Prescribing Information
- Drug Interaction Databases
- Published Clinical Research
- The TheraSim Clinical Advisory Panel

The International Society for Infectious Diseases (ISID)
is implementing TheraSim CS-HIV on a new web- and client-based clinical training simulator
as part of its
HIV training and outreach educational programs in 34 countries worldwide.
