product information

The mTuitive xPert System is designed to enable subject matter experts to develop decision support and structured data capture applications without the need for programmers.

The system comprises a forward chaining inference engine capable of advanced decision support and an associated development environment. This authoring tool is designed to facilitate the import of knowledge and/or data from existing sources, visually apply logic rules and transform it into shareable, interoperable applications.

The first commercial "xPert application is a workstation for surgical pathologists and their departments ... for synoptic reporting and structured data capture of tumor specimens. The system provides expert guidance and error checks while automatically coding results with SNOMED CT®".

mTuitive software also provides the ability to add functionality and build applications without changing the underlying architecture of legacy systems. It supports capture, analysis, correction and approval of the accuracy of data. Once approved, data is routed to existing databases and systems for additional analysis and reporting.

The company’s proof of concept application was used to transform protocols and checklists developed by the College of American Pathologists to standardize the reporting and classification of malignant tumors. The Royal College of Pathology in the UK has accredited the authoring tool as capable of supporting the development of electronic cancer data sets - an activity that is currently underway.

Partners sought ...

mTuitive is seeking partners to utilize the company’s rapid development methodology to transform their knowledge and expertise into applications. mTuitive will license its development environment and end user applications to partners at no cost. In return, mTuitive will retain marketing rights to any commercially viable products delivered. The company will provide training, support and guidance.
