Croatia	e-Health is a priority area of the e–Croatia programme. Includes the computerisation of primary health services, the introduction of an Integrated Healthcare Information System and the computerisation of the Croatian Institute for Health Insurance (multifunctional smart cards). "Integrated computer system for primary health care ... project has ... connected 350 general and family medicine practices [Feb 2007]. By the end of this year, networking of paediatric, gynaecologic and dental practices as well as of laboratories and pharmacies will begin, and by the end of 2008, all six thousand primary health care institutions will have been connected to [the] computer network."

Iceland	Icelandic Healthnet for telemedicine; electronic health care records.

Republic of Moldova	e-Health forms part of the National Strategy on Building [the] Information Society: “E-Moldova” (2005+). Includes development of an Integrated Medical Information System

Montenegro

Norway	S@mspill 2007 (Te@mwork 2007) – Norwegian governmental strategy for electronic co-operation in health and social care 2004-2007. (Samspill = co-operation). Includes management of national Norwegian Health Net.

Russia	e-Health forms part of the E-Moscow program (2003-2007) but not yet part of the national IT program, E-Russia (2002-2010).

Serbia

Switzerland	Nationale Strategie „eHealth” (2007-2013) (Eidgenössisches Departement des Innern (EDI), Bundesamt für Gesundheit (BAG) Swiss Federal Department of Home Affairs) Electronic health insurance cards (trials started 2004) - die Versichertenkarte / La carte d'assuré / La tessera d'assicurato: nationwide implementation planned to start 2008/9.

Turkey	Turkey e-Health strategy including National Health Information Platform (Saglik-Net) (2004-2007) linking all Turkey health sector institutions and national electronic medical records.
