Croatia  Croatia e-Health is a priority area of the e–Croatia programme. Includes the computerisation of primary health services, the introduction of an Integrated Healthcare Information System and the computerisation of the Croatian Institute for Health Insurance (multifunctional smart cards).

"Integrated computer system for primary health care ... project has ... connected 350 general and family medicine practices [Feb 2007]. By the end of this year, networking of paediatric, gynaecologic and dental practices as well as of laboratories and pharmacies will begin, and by the end of 2008, all six thousand primary health care institutions will have been connected to [the] computer network."
