The workshop, the latest in a series going back to 2001, aims to bring together researchers from different branches of computer science (in particular AI), medical informatics and medicine to examine cutting-edge approaches to computer-based guideline modelling and development. The workshop will also provide the opportunity to complete a book, Computer-based Medical Guidelines and Protocols: a Primer and Current Trends, to be published by IOS Press in 2008.
